Background

         

             “The major task of the university comprises two parts. One is to provide education. That is, to transfer both effective academic knowledge and practical training to the students in order that they will get ready to efficiently apply their knowledge relating their fields in a work place .  The last part is to research and develop the academic field for educational progress and be beneficial for human.”

      According to the speech given by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the main mission of the university, therefore, is to emphasize on academic development and new innovation improvement in order to create learning resources beneficial for both learners and society.                  

       Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya has focused on Science and Technology education. The campus consists of Songkla, Trang and Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus which has seperate 3 campuses: Tung-Yai, Sai-yai, and Khanom. Each campus has provided various professional fields including tourist attractions. In terms of the fields provided, it involves Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science of Agriculture, Fisheries Science, Agriculture Industry, Hospitality and Tourism, Management Technology, Veterinary Science, and Srivijaya Aquarium etc.

       Because of the diversity, researches, artificial innovations, and creative activities created by the students, it can built and support new leaning resources within the university.  

         Public Relation division plays a key role in leading new knowledge, news distribution and advertise university's or activities held in the university for those interested person both within and outsiders.   

         To promote the university, public relations division is responsible for cooperating with local and global mass media. Additionally, to create the understanding and display the university to the eyes of the outsiders, public relations division also produces new media, distributes the news, and exhibit academic works including new innovation created by RMUTSV via mass media such as newspaper and the Internet.

 
           From the aforementioned rationale, it is recognized that public relations division will play an important role to effectively and perfectly drive the university’s missions.
